With over 3 decades of experience in the framing industry, Wendy’s Art & Frame Shop is a full-service custom framing shop equipped for virtually any job. Wendy specializes in hand-gilded frames, restoration of antique frames, and wet mounts for rice paper artwork. We also frame photographs, artwork, diplomas, textiles, floral arrangements, vinyl records, and more- the possibilities are endless!
Custom Framing
We are a full-service custom framing shop, and accept jobs of all kinds. Many of our mouldings are hand-crafted in-house by Wendy! We offer a wide variety of materials to choose from, and take pride in being known for our stellar pricing. We do everything in our power to honor budgets to make custom framing accessible.
Hand-Gilding
We are proud to offer the fine art of hand-gilding at our shop. Options include 12k and 24k gold leafing in multiple colors, as well as several options for metal leafing. Wendy’s gilding expertise is highly sought after, with clients from all across the United States.
Frame Repair & Restoration
We offer antique frame restoration, as well as repairs for standard frames. Services include replacing damaged hanging hardware, broken glass replacements, filling dents/cracks, and paint, stain, or gilding touch-ups.
Art Supplies for Sale
Raw and gessoed panels, mat cutoffs, moulding scraps, and more are available at a steeply discounted rate to artists, students, and folks working on all types of projects!
Premade Frames
We offer a wide variety of premade frames, and are always making more. This is an excellent option for framing on a budget, as well as reducing the turnaround time to complete your order. These frames are on-view in our shop, as well as listed online on our website’s “Shop” page.
Artwork for Sale
We have a diverse collection of artwork available for sale in the shop. Our collection includes original paintings, Chinese papercut art, vintage botanical prints, fine art recreations, photographs of iconic Philadelphia scenes, work by local artists and more.
Wet Mounting - Asian Paper Artwork
Wendy offers wet mounting for works on “rice”, or Asian papers. This service is essential to the preservation of delicate work such as woodcut prints, calligraphy, and ink drawings/paintings.
Custom Mat-Cutting
For instances where you don’t need the full frame, we are more than happy to cut custom mats. This is a convenient service for artists preparing their artwork for shows!
